Learning objectives of the workshop

Through the progression of this course, you will be introduced to practical aspects of pediatric neurology brought to you in a very simplified manner by experts. You will also learn the nuances of neurological history taking and clinical examination with the aim to summarize the clinical story and learn to integrate them with the tests required to establish a diagnosis. After the clinical problem solving, you will learn the soft skills of communicating complex diagnoses to parents and prognosticating, while planning the appropriate therapies.

To prepare you for the workshop platform, we have an exclusive four week period of interactive, curriculum based learning that will enable the development of a neurological orientation and review of your current knowledge.

As a special feature, we have included the basics of neurological investigations like EEGs, neuroimaging and neurogenetic tests. An added attraction is the in-depth discussion of the commonly performed procedural skill of lumbar puncture. To expand learning and to apply the information gained from photos and videos through devices in the present day, we have incorporated these in the pre workshop warm up as well as in the workshop itself.
